Private Yoga classes are offered for groups or individuals
who want to deepen or accelerate their practice or have specific needs for
healing and recovery. The classes are specifically designed to each student's
unique physical needs and goals and are an excellent way to develop a home practice.
Each session is from 60 to 90 minutes long. Private sessions are designed
specifically for you, and will focus on exercises for your body type, taking into
consideration your fitness level, stress level, and your personal goals. For some
students the sessions may be entirely physical, with a focus on improving overall
health, or on healing a chronic injury or condition. For others the emphasis may
be more on relaxation, breathing, and meditation – the choice is yours.
New studentsThis is an excellent way to start a yoga
practice. Focus will be on more beginner poses, to get you introduced to proper
alignment. Since this is a one-on-one class, the class is designed specifically
for your needs. The first class will include a consultation to discuss the “problem”
areas, or what it is you want to focus on.
Practicing Students Private classes are a great way
to deepen your practice. The teacher will focus on your specific needs, such
as on poses that are more difficult for you. The poses can be from simple to
more advanced inverted postures.
Yoga at HomeWould you would like to practice a class
at the comfort of your own home? This is a great way to practice yoga if you have
any physical limitations which would require special attention. All props (Props
are objects such as blocks, chairs, blankets, straps, and bolsters. These help
aid the student in performing the postures, to make them more comfortable, to
create correct alignment, or to deepen the posture) that are needed will be brought
to you.
Yoga at the studioThose of you who would like to practice
at a yoga studio can do so. The sessions can be private or semi-private. The classes
would be taught at Full Circle Yoga Institute. It was founded in 1972 and is the
oldest yoga studio in San Diego! With full use of the studio, there is a wide
variety of props that can be utilized to suit your needs.
